Blueland makes concentrated cleaning and personal-care products as tablets and powders that mix with tap water in reusable Forever Bottles. Instead of shipping water in disposable plastic, households buy durable vessels once and reorder plastic-free refills for sprays, hand soap, dish and laundry detergents, toilet bowl cleaner, and body wash—formulas designed to perform without single-use bottles in the repurchase loop. Co-founded in 2019 by Sarah Paiji Yoo and John Mascari, Blueland started as a digitally native brand built around one physical thesis: stop shipping water and eliminate single-use plastic packaging from household cleaning. The company developed its own dry-format chemistry (with dozens of patents and patents pending), grew through DTC and subscription, then expanded selectively into national retail including Target, Whole Foods, Costco, Kroger, and HEB. Blueland is a certified B Corporation (One Home Brands, Inc.) with a 2024 Overall B Impact Score of 110. Its impact case rests on product design—refill concentrates plus reusable bottles—backed by third-party standards such as EPA Safer Choice, Cradle to Cradle material health, Climate Label work, Leaping Bunny, and EWG verification on select Free & Clear formulas.
