Series A Clean Transportation Funders

Congruent Ventures is a climate-focused venture capital firm that partners with early-stage entrepreneurs building transformative climate technology companies. With decades of climate tech investing experience, the firm supports founders who are innovating across atoms, bits, or business models to create solutions that do more with less. The firm focuses exclusively on North America-based teams and provides capital from formation stage through Series A, continuing to support portfolio companies as they scale. Congruent Ventures invests across multiple climate-related categories including mobility and urbanization, energy transition, and other decarbonization technologies, as demonstrated by their diverse portfolio and their 50 by 2050 initiative highlighting pioneering carbon reduction technologies.

Extantia is a Berlin-based climate tech venture firm that backs pioneers reimagining industries. The firm invests in software and hardware with large, near-term market opportunities: companies that can make a cleaner path also the faster or cheaper path for customers. Founded in 2020, Extantia describes itself as a climate tech generalist rather than a single-vertical specialist. Energy, industrial processes, buildings, transportation, and carbon removal all sit inside the mandate when the commercial wedge is clear. The sweet spot is early stage, roughly seed to Series A, with a primary focus on European founders and team coverage across Germany and the UK. The firm closed its Extantia Climate Flagship II vehicle at about €204 million, above a €150 million target, with institutional LPs that have included the European Investment Fund, KfW Capital, and other European public and private investors. Extantia also built Extantia Ignite, an internal sustainability and science capability used for impact analysis, and has tied part of manager economics to sustainability targets. Beyond writing checks, Extantia markets itself as a long-term operating partner on commercialization, organization building, and fundraising. For founders evaluating European climate VCs, the combination of a sizable flagship fund, generalist sector scope, and an explicit science/ESG process is the main differentiator.

Pulse Fund is a climate venture capital firm investing in early-stage companies across four interconnected sectors: food and agriculture, energy transition, infrastructure, and mobility. Founded in 2022 by Tenzin Seldon, the firm focuses on scalable solutions that address climate challenges across multiple industries. In September 2026, Pulse announced the $63 million close of its inaugural fund. Its portfolio includes Mast Reforestation, Twelve, Endera Motors, InventWood, BlocPower, Floodbase, Plantible Foods, and other climate technology companies. Beyond capital, Pulse provides strategic guidance, industry connections, operational support, governance expertise, and access to additional financing. Its investment approach emphasizes commercially viable solutions with long-term environmental impact, guided by a philosophy it calls Pulse Time: generating returns today while building for the next century.

Systemiq Capital backs early-stage founders who are rewriting the physical economy: how we grow and process food, invent materials, move people and goods, price climate risk, and restore damaged natural systems. The fund is Europe-based and works closely with the wider Systemiq systems-change practice, which gives it an unusual vantage point on markets, policy, and corporate demand. The partnership model is built around early market adoption. Capital is only part of the offer. Founders also get introductions into corporate buyers, policy networks, and later-stage investors who understand transition markets. That matters in climate tech, where the first customers are often industrial or public-sector actors, not consumer apps. Fund I launched in 2018, deployed about $30 million, and produced multiple exits. Fund II targets about $200 million after a reported $70 million first close, and continues the same "capital for systems change" mandate. Core themes stay consistent: sustainable food and materials, clean transport, climate intelligence and finance, and climate restoration (including removals and biodiversity-linked work). For directory readers, Systemiq Capital is useful when a company needs more than a generic climate VC. If the product only works when industry rules, procurement, or infrastructure shift, this is a firm that underwrites that complexity on purpose.
