Airbnb led the $58 million Series C round. Existing investors including H14 also participated.
Yes. WeRoad is using its Series C funding to launch in the U.S. for the first time. It will offer existing international itineraries, U.S.-specific trips, and WeMeet offline events.
WeMeet is WeRoad's offline experiences platform that allows people to join local events — dinners, hikes, yoga sessions — without booking a trip. In 2025 it hosted 2,000 events across 38 cities with 50,000 participants.
WeRoad primarily serves Millennials and Gen Z travelers, many of whom join trips solo. About 90% of its 100,000 annual travelers join without a travel partner.
WeRoad's 4,000 Group Leaders are experienced travelers who lead each trip, handle logistics, and create the social conditions that allow strangers to connect. They are selected through a vetting process that includes in-person selection weekends.
