When you think of luxurious destinations in Switzerland, you probably imagine grand hotel resorts among the snowy peaks and flowery valleys.
However, this is where you will also find simple, yet luxurious eco-friendly accommodation right in the Swiss Alps. Whitepod Hotel is a 15-years old establishment that adopted sustainability to the maximum without hindering the luxury of its guests.
Hotel offers stay in the pods which are geodesic structures using a self-supporting frame and less material for the build. Each pod has a wood stove, LED lighting and is equipped with water-saving devices on showers and taps.
During the winter you can go on a dog sledding excursion, ski, paraglide and do snowshoe hiking. In the summer, when the greenery is in full bloom, you can hike, bike and visit local farms for fresh produce especially dairy.
The hotel also offers massages and Ayurveda, as well as spring treatments with floral oils.
