Hilton Global Foundation is Hilton’s corporate foundation, launched in 2019 to support the company’s broader Travel with Purpose strategy. It is separate from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the independent private foundation created from Conrad Hilton’s estate.
The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in communities where Hilton operates. Its current priorities include:
- Workforce development and career opportunity
- Destination stewardship
- Environmental sustainability
- Community resilience
Hilton’s 2025 reporting says the company and Foundation awarded grants across these areas and surpassed a goal of more than 300 Action Grants.
The Foundation also works alongside Hilton hotels, owners, team members, guests, and partners. However, these activities should be treated separately. Foundation grants are distinct from donated hotel stays, volunteer hours, hotel sustainability initiatives, and other forms of in-kind support.
Hilton does not currently publish a standard grant size, open request for proposals, or general application process. Its public reporting focuses primarily on selected nonprofit partners and aggregate impact.
Hilton Global Foundation uses philanthropy to strengthen the communities and destinations connected to Hilton’s hospitality network.
Its approach combines nonprofit funding with Hilton’s local presence, employees, hotel owners, and operational expertise. Priority areas include workforce opportunity, environmental stewardship, resilience, and community development.
The Foundation tends to support organizations with strong local implementation capacity and clear alignment with Hilton’s Travel with Purpose goals.
Public materials do not provide a formal eligibility scorecard or standardized grant product. Potential partners should view geographic relevance, measurable impact, local partnerships, and alignment with Hilton’s sustainability and community priorities as useful indicators rather than guaranteed funding criteria.

Focus geography
Global and place-based, generally connected to communities and destinations where Hilton operates. The U.S. taxonomy relation records the organization's corporate base, not a U.S.-only mandate.
Focus sectors
Hospitality career pathways and workforce development; destination and community resilience; environmental sustainability; and locally led community benefit.
Funder structure
Hilton-created corporate foundation launched in 2019 within the Travel with Purpose ecosystem. It is distinct from both Hilton's operating-company initiatives and the independent Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
Eligibility
No comprehensive public eligibility rulebook was found. Publicly named recipients are nonprofit partners with relevant local capacity and alignment to Hilton's workforce, sustainability or resilience priorities; fit does not guarantee an invitation or award.
Decision process
Hilton does not publish a general proposal calendar, scoring rubric or organization-wide award range. Current materials present selected grants and Action Grants, indicating a partner-led or internally sourced process rather than an always-open competition.
Impact approach
The Foundation pairs grants with Hilton's hospitality footprint and employee engagement. Hilton-reported grants, volunteer hours and community reach are outputs or participation metrics and are not presented here as independently verified causal outcomes.
Reporting expectations
Public guidance does not expose a standard reporting package. Selected partners should expect grant-specific financial and program reporting and evidence suitable for Hilton's aggregate Travel with Purpose reporting.
Geographic restrictions
No exhaustive eligible-country list is public. Practical access depends on Hilton presence, current priorities, local partner relationships and applicable charitable rules.
Alternatives and limitations
Organizations needing an open RFP, published award bands or unrestricted general operating support should seek another funder. Hilton hotel donations, volunteering and corporate sustainability activity are adjacent resources, not substitutes for a Foundation grant.
