Halcyon is a leading impact accelerator that has been empowering early-stage social entrepreneurs since 2014. Founded by Dr. Sachiko Kuno and Kate Goodall, the organization takes its name from the historic Halcyon House in Georgetown, Washington, DC, reflecting its founding mission to provide a haven where bold founders tackling the world's most pressing problems can find support, optimism, and belief. Since its inception, Halcyon has supported over 650 entrepreneurs from more than 50 countries, helping them scale their sustainable, world-changing solutions through a bold, founder-first accelerator model. Halcyon's programs provide early-stage social entrepreneurs with critical resources including space, community, and access to networks. Their comprehensive support includes tailored business training for product-market fit, capital strategy, and leadership development, along with additional resources to help founders scale their ventures. Through Halcyon Fund I & II, the HVP Angels, and partnerships with their ecosystem, they educate and invest in impact-driven founders. The Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF) is devoted to developing a brighter future for millions of children and young people at risk of poor educational, economic, social and health outcomes. The foundation works to strengthen families, build stronger communities and create opportunities for vulnerable youth across America. The foundation serves kids and families by advancing research, empowering communities and influencing decision makers to invest in evidence-based solutions.
