Software platform for clean energy developers to navigate tax equity and tax credit financing.
CapeZero provides a cloud-based software platform specifically designed for clean energy developers to navigate tax equity and tax credit financing. The platform centralizes and operationalizes project finance data, replacing outdated spreadsheet models with real-time analysis tools that enable teams to make better capital decisions and evaluate complex financing scenarios more efficiently.
The company was founded by Manish Hebbar and Sumit Chachra with a mission to build a clean energy finance ecosystem where everyone can thrive. Hebbar's inspiration came from a 2017 journey to Antarctica where he witnessed climate change impacts firsthand, leading him to focus on solving bottlenecks in deploying renewable energy projects, while Chachra joined the mission seeking impactful work to preserve a healthy planet for his daughter.
CapeZero addresses a critical challenge in the clean energy sector by eliminating the inefficiencies of spreadsheet-based financial modeling that costs developers time, money, and deals. By providing investor-grade models and streamlined analysis tools, the platform helps accelerate the deployment of wind, solar, and storage projects, ultimately contributing to faster scaling of renewable energy infrastructure in the United States.
CapeZero creates impact by removing financial modeling bottlenecks that slow down clean energy project deployment, enabling developers to make faster and more accurate capital decisions. Their platform replaces error-prone spreadsheet models with sophisticated tools that help teams evaluate complex financing scenarios and deploy capital more efficiently.
By streamlining the tax equity and tax credit financing process, CapeZero helps accelerate the development and deployment of renewable energy projects including wind, solar, and storage assets. This directly contributes to scaling clean energy infrastructure and reducing reliance on carbon-emitting power sources.
